Hello Monster family

My name is Mitchel aka Rexinre. I have been riding motorcycles/dirtbikes since I was about 10 years old. I just picked up a Ducati Monster 1100S last week while I was home. It's my first street-only bike, and I'm very excited to ride it. Unfortunately I can't ride it or even see it for another 2 months or so. I have been in Iraq since June of 08 and will be returning in June of 09. I have been looking at bikes for the last 9 or so months on line and when I went home on leave I ended up falling for the Monster. For the next two months or so I will try and be learning as much as I can about it.

Here is a few pics of me on the demo bike at the shop the day I purchased mine.

Hi everyone again... Thanks for the welcome. It has been a long trip and soon it will all be behind me.

In my search for the right bike I came across many motorcycles I liked to include the triumph speed triple, KTM super duke and the Monster. Most of my friends are getting the japan cookie cutter bikes and I wanted to be a little different. I have always enjoyed style and performance, even in my latest car (06 STi). Originally I was leaning towards the KTM Super Duke, but when I actually looked at the beautiful red Ducati I was sold... I must say, pictures don't hold up to the real thing. Plus the sound of the motor and that look of the single sided swig arm mmmmmmm!
