Hi everyone, I'm thinking of getting carbon fiber front mud guard for my red '09 696, I need your opinions, does it look good? or I should just stick with the red oem? I know the 1100S comes with carbon fiber but again that bike has the olins front shocks which is yellow, versus the 696 is white

I think most red fenders are too much red - it kind of draws the visual attention down ???

Carbon fibre usually looks great, but on the 696 it might look lonely and out of place - depends on which other mods you're planning.

If you're into painting - what about painting it flat black? I did a partial paint job on mine.....

I had a CF fender on my red 696 and it looked nice regardless of the color of the fork. But I also had a CF gauge cover, so they complimented one another. But alone, it still looks cool. On my red 1100S, I have a CF fender and the OEM flat black gauge cover. If only I took the CF cover off the 696 before I sold it!  [bang]

I like the second one better. The first one the vent is too big.

just my personal opinion but i dont really dif CF mudguards too much. im sure they look great in person, but if it were me i would go with one of these options

-partial just like stopintime (lookin good as always)
-gloss black
-flat black

depending on your paint scheme and where you wanna go with the styling of the bike. thats just what id do, but what a boring world if we would all mod the same!

I just bought a SBK fender to paint satin black to match the rear hugger.
