I have an appointment with Desert Desmo on Sunday for new fork seals, then Sunday night I'm partying with the Hauer's, then I'll see you kids at the track Monday [thumbsup]
Sounds like a plan. The pricing is still the same, $50 from 8 to 12 or 1 to 5 and $75 from 8 to 5. The website says motorcycles and karts on Mondays.
The weather report looks good calling for a high of 77F.
Might be the last hurray for this riding season to shed lots of rubber  [Dolph]

Took the day off...now need to decide morning or afternoon...?! It is 50 through morning and it is nice in the afternoon...Last track day- first session, I could not feel my toes or find the shift lever, had one false neutral through the tight hairpin. 8-9:30am is probably useless, the track would be super cold with fewer bikes to heat up! :-\

You are right JJ. It will be in the 60's and 70's between 11 and 4. I'm calling tomorrow to see if we can deviate from the 8 to noon and 1 to 5 schedule.
Looks like we will have the track to ourselves since there was no action on previous Monday's. [Dolph]

I'm up for a "full day", but I won't be there at 8:00am [laugh]

Maybe 9:30 - 5:00?!?!?

Well you better, your non riding season is a bit longer than ours ;D
I already approved my day off  [laugh] and I will be in charge of hydration
and some snacks. Pam will be in Taos being part of the Discovery channel 'How it's
made' shot.

I may do a whole day and just take an hour and a half off for my class. We'll see though. Right now I'm not even sure if the class will be canceled or not.

Ladies,
Heard rumors that Caleb will sport a Speedo on the track Monday.
Not sure if he meant apparel or bike hardware ;D
Come and find out [clap]

Zaster

Looks like we will have a sizeable group at the track:
L'Scott, JJ, Caleb, Adam, Jim, Bjorn, myself and some onlookers [thumbsup]

Zaster

Success [thumbsup]  everyone and their bikes made it back in one piece [Dolph]
L'Scott, Adam and I made it to the track by 9:30 when Caleb and Jim were already warming up the track.
We started to shake off some rust and gained confidence in going around the track by the time JJ showed up.
We asked JJ to take us around the track and show us his lines hoping to learn from the master...what a blast.
Too bad his chain decided to jump off the rear sprocket and ended his fun prematurely..but then again we were lucky
that he didn't get hurt in the process ;)
Battled the wind and blowing sand for the rest of the day while having unspeakable fun ;D
I was pleasantly surprised to see Ed joining the gang and selfishly asked him to share his knowledge.
He lead, followed and illustrated how to navigate the course in the most efficient fashion....priceless (while kicking our ass in the process). [thumbsup]
We also met some regulars from the SMRI who volunteered their knowledge and experience.
To sum it all up...can't think of a better way to spend a Monday with my friends who are willing to make me a better rider.
BTW, I'm sore as heck...but it's a good sore [laugh]

Sounds like a great time.. Wish I could have been out there with you all.  Sounds like a great day full of educational things I would have liked to have been a part of...
Sometimes when you say no, you really mean YES, that is why we have the safe word.. "FLÜGGÃ...ÆŽNKâˆ,â,¬ÄŒHIÅ'βØL∫ÊN"  If at any time the pleasure is too much, simply say the safe word, and we will stop"

Dirty people say:
"yep.. Ducati makes a fine motorcycle.. If your into all that Crotchrocket Bulls@#t!"

DonJuanDucati

Well, I went from about 1:07 lap times at the SMRI track day to a couple 1:04 and 1:05 lap times this track day. This is just judging from my video, I need to get a lap timer some time to be more sure of that. Lots of fun was had and I learned a lot from Ed. I got some good video, including a couple laps of different markers getting pointed out. Karl, unfortunately your video didn't record, I got a good video of your bike sitting on its kickstand, though!  [laugh] Adam's video did come out, and I got some video behind you as well.  [thumbsup]

Zaster

Caleb,
Had a great time riding with you. Your progress is astounding considering we took you up the Crest when we met to show you the ropes.
Let me know if you can post the video clip or if I need to get you a DVD.

JJ

[clap] Glad you guys learned the faster ways. In my little time there it was fun to follow each of you...wish I had not derailed the chain, would have loved to see Ed and check his speedy ways...& follow L'Scott few more times...he was doing awesome as well! At the same time I was real lucky that it happened close to the tight hairpin/slowest speed trap aand not the horseshoe!!! Thanks Karl for helping me load it up. It will come back stronger...! [thumbsup]

Caleb, your learning is pretty impressive! 1.04s is awesome on the monster....congratulations!
Ride forever...

DonJuanDucati

Karl, I can definitely upload the video to youtube, I can also burn a disk for you as well. I figure Adam will probably want his video burned to a disc.

JJ, it's amazing what learning better lines will do. Big thanks to Ed helping me out with that.
