Summer is here and I'm not thrilled about some of the perf leather jackets out there. I don't want to ride unprotected but my bod temp is always high. does anyone have experience with the Dainese wave neck? or Vanson vent max?

Thanks for the info

last summer i rode with my dainese delmar perforated... that jacket  flows air like crazy.  as long as i was moving.. i was ok.

I bought the Ducati 80's perf. jacket last fall and I can say it sure flows air really well for a leather jacket.  Dainese is good stuff but you already knew that I am sure.

Dainese has a Mesh Jacket that should have Elbow and Shoulder Armor.

I think it's called the Air 2-Tex.

I picked up a Dainese Nevada perfed leather Jacket which is really light in weight .

I'm in the same or worse boat as you. Anytime it's above 72 degrees I'm burning up.

As long as I can be going 60 mph I can stand the heat but if I stop for 5 seconds I'm in the process of having a heat stroke.

I love riding in the 60s . when it's just a little cool to where I need to wear something war under a non perfed jacket.

When it gets hot I don't ride .Too dangerous.

The Dainese wave neck mesh armor is probably a good piece of protection and it would be cooler but you don't have your leather protection.

It would be good to wear under a leather jacket.       Dolph

Contrary to popular belief, those aren't meant to be worn as a stand alone garment, nor is any other armor/mesh jacket.  It is meant as supplimentary impact protection to be worn under a textile or leather.  They offer a massive amount if impact protection, but do not offer anything in the way of abrasion resistance.  If one were to go down on the street wearing just that, it would likely tear apart.  Wear a light cordura or leather jacket over the top and you are golden.
