Casio G'zOne Boulder

I have my 2 year upgrade available from Verizon Wireless and I am looking at the Casio G'zOne Boulder.  I have gone through 4 razors in the last two years because I keep breaking them.   One got dropped in water, I think sawdust killed another, one had the battery hook up die and I just shattered the display on this last one with my hammer.  This thing seems like it would solve my problem of being too hard on phones. 

Does anyone have one?  I have read a bunch of reviews and they all seem to say the same thing.  Battery life is short (have to charge every 2-3 days)  I am ok with this because my current phone barley lasts through the day.  Speaker volume is muffled due to waterproofing, and that it doesn't do text messages very well.  Any experiences?

My entire company has those (approx. 100 souls); we went away from Nextel, and this is what they went with.   General consensus is that they suck.  The sound quality is the biggest complaint...static-y, kinda garbled; it's worse when you're talking to someone else who has the same phone.  YMMV, but I can't recommend them.

I got one after I broke my 5th motorola nextel phone, 2 from rain 2 from dropping them all the time and one just vanished when I was grading a pond. Anyway they are tough, I have dropped it many times and have been cought in the rain with it and shes still ticking. As far as sound quality I would say its OK I have yet to use a cell phone and say dam that sounds great. So to sum it up if your an active person who doesnt take into consideration the saftey or well being of your phone its a good one to get.

I have this one. It matches the 1098 rather well 

and..... it's been a pretty solid phone this past year that I've had it.

I have no FHE, but my brother does have that phone.
He works in a rather rough environment, it takes many shocks, drops, etc.
He loves it, and it still works perfect.
I will say that it's a bit bulkier than i would like MY phone to be... But for him, it the ''dog's''

The company I worked for switched from Nextel to Verizon also & originally went with this phone , because they are fairly indestructable, but they SUCK. You could never hear the person on the other end. It was like trying to talk under water. Having conversations with people & asking them to repeat themselves 3 or 4 times for everything they said. Finally switched all the phones  to the motorola with the push to talk feature. Have been pretty decent & reliable.

I've got the current model and my partner has the previous generation and we've been quite happy with 'em. They've both been abused (fun party trick: dropping your phone in a glass of water or -- only once so far -- a beer and watching people's faces) -- we both work & play outside and mine usually lives in the front pocket of my PFD when I'm kayaking, where it spends hours wet & gets thumped regularly. We lost hers while we were out on horseback, and it laid out frying in a field through the Arizona mountain summer, doused through the torrential thunderstorms of monsoon season, stepped on by horses, cattle and who knows what other beasts, and when we found it again four months later it worked perfectly.

We'd replaced hers with the later generation G'zOne at the same time we got mine, and had to return hers -- a couple of the minor functions (I forget which) crapped out within a couple of days, so we returned it within the 30 days no-questions period, and then promptly found her old one. While I don't notice any of the issues others mention above about sound quality, the speakerphone on mine is pretty useless. The electronic compass, on the other hand, has come in handy more than once, in situations where I'm not generally toting a regular one, and I use the flashlight feature a couple of times a week at least.

In general, though, we're both really hard on phones and have been really happy.

I know for certain it works well with an Envy2.  I've got one just like it
