Hello, oh wise ones.
I am a brand new addition to the motorcycle world and learned my first lesson the hard way (full-hand braking not the way to go)  so I decided to join this forum of advice to save myself some roadrash and further carnage to my 2001 Monster 750. Currently I am looking for handlebars that won't dent my tank after a tip-over and a set of mirrors. I would prefer both to be recommended for beginners.
Let the hazing begin!

Welcome to the DMF, hope your first lesson was not too painful on yourself.

Besides new bars and mirrors, you might want to look into a set of frame sliders.  Also, for the mirrors, keep in mind that bar-end mirrors are the most likely to get damaged in a tip-over.
