Well that wasn't so hard (tail chop - now with pics)

And FYI, I used a pipe cutter for my tail chop.  I felt it was a lot easier and less nerve wracking than using a sawzall.

blade is MUCH thinner than a saw and you cut it slow.  i was able to get mine withing 0.5mm of each other.

i've tried to hunt down a "full" one that covers the top of the tire too.

very nice looking bike tho.

So far the fling is not so bad and I've ridden in some doozy thunderstorms since I cut it. It is not something I have searched for, but would be interested to see the options out there.

here is one, i don't have a pic of mine online



it's sort of short, but i think there are longer ones out there.  they are very subtle, follow the curve of the tire so they don't ruin the lines of the rear.  it attaches to the swingarm

if you don't have one, then if you're riding wet, you are getting a huge roostertail and kicking up water directly onto your shock. 

motowheels has one too, but it is attached by zip ties (?) which i am nto sure i like.

it's a two piece deal, attaches using the factory screws.. it's just shorter than i would like

I got the zip-tie version. I wasn't to excited about that either, but once it's on, really didn't look to repulsive at all. For the motowheels sale price, i thought it was well worth it. But own opinion only

How do you like that seat?  Its the Corbin correct?  I'm sure your passenger appreciates.  My girl and I have been going on some rides about 200 or so miles and I'm contemplating getting it for her. its like 450 though right?

I like it and it is a Corbin.  It is super comfortable.  The one thing I don't like is that is has an Italian flag embroidered on the left hand side.  Kinda clashes with the dark look I am going for. At least is has black piping.  I will probably take some black fabric dye to the flag and the Corbin logo.  They don't have the little storage area that the stock seat has, so if you use that storage currently for your helmet lock etc., you'll need to carry that stuff elsewhere.  I've heard they are shorter than the stock seat and have contemplated trading someone for a Sargent which is supposed to be an inch or so taller than stock.  I'm 6'4", so the extra inch would help.  Eventually I'll just get some rearsets.  I actually have the stock seat still, but have tried it out as the bike came with the Corbin. 

My GF thinks the seat is fine as a passenger.  Although now that I have chopped the tail, she is a little leery of climbing on again.  She really appreciated the boomtubes - now she doesn't have to sit on the exhaust.....

the corbin is definitely a little better for the pillion, but still not great. Personally I find the corbin hard as a brick and sits me too low which kills my knees after 45 mins. on the bike......and I'm only  5'9.
