I'm tired of rear turn signals that break off if you look at them the wrong way. (Yup M696)  Anyone have a suggestion?  I'm getting integrated rear lights when they come out... but in the meantime...

Coolest turn signals IMO. I'm not a big fan of integrated tail lights. They look nice, but visibility seems to be a bit lacking.  :-\

I have an integrated tail light/turn signals (LED) by Clear Alternatives. Looks great and is very clean looking. Best of all it fits exactly as the stock tail light does.  [thumbsup]

Just ordered these for my S4Rs - love the look of them. They're tough.
This place feels nice. Black S4RS, CRG Barend mirrors, vented clutch cover, gold clutch plate, gold pazzo racing levers, full 50m termi system, little carbon extras....oh yeah ...almost forgot....ban corporate coffee!

mine dont break off... but the rear right goes out every other day... something with the contact on the bulb i think, because i can clean it off and its good for another short stint...  [roll]

Yeah, that's exactly what i'm looking at, once them make them for the 696.  Supposedly "later this year".

I installed the Rizoma Tracks in the front and the Zeros in the rear.  Included load box is required all around, and obtained normal blink rate with supplied resistors installed in just the rears.

My buddy mentioned he could barely make out my stock blinkers during the day, but can now easily see the rizomas during our day time rides.

Mmmmm, not sure what you mean re 'stalk': mine sit flush with the end of the frame.

I got the idea from a really old thread - turns out a few people had also done this mod. I made a thread about it ages ago... over here! http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=1333.0

That's sick... unfortunately on the 696 there's no tube there.  If there was i'd to exactly that.

Hmmmm, 696 - tricky. I don't see how you could get away from stalked indicators because you have the pipes either side.

If you have a chopped tail, is the bottom of the license plate lower than the pipes?  If so, you could mount indicator under your license plate - and you would still have side-on visibility.

That's one of the reasons i want the integrated/flush lights.  The lights are already really a hindrance to putting any type of bag on the back, and when i "chop" the tail, they'll be even closer to the pillion.

I just checked the back of a chopped 696.

The indicators mount on stalks either side of the top of the license plate - they can be seen from the side if they are mounted here.

Something like this might be of use to you. The stalks are only 20mm, and the headlights are only 33mm dia... so basically, you'd end up with two teardrop indicators immediately either side of the license plate.. and they wouldn't stick out as far the sides of the seat, they'd be completely tucked away.

In this picture, the spacer is still in the stalk, which makes them longer (about 50mm). Take that out, and youve got a super short stalk.
