The sound of Ducati - A symphony of internal combustion

I for one give a  [thumbsup] to a performance cruiser, I love the cruisers like the M109 from Suzuki, and I think the torque of the Ducati engine would suit a sporty cruiser setup, I know a number of the Ducati diehards won't like it.
If they could make it handle well (it will never be a sports bike) and stop well and be a lot lighter than a Harley, they could do surprisingly well.

A sporty cruiser may just be an Oxymoron but.....
If they went ahead with it, I'd go and have a look, I wouldn't dare give up the Monster, but something like this could suit the Missus, or a sedate cruise down the coast.

So, I think some people seem a bit negative to the idea.....  [laugh]

So, looks like I'm in the minority then.

I'll just pop over and dunk my head in a bucket of Ice water and never speak of this horrible idea of a bike again.  ;D

It's okay CD you are allowed to be different.  It's what makes people more interesting.  :-*

... and its some wall, sounds like you've been there?

When I saw the BM I thought of Celli's bike.

As for the cruiser ... they did have some stuff in the Ducati Museum on the Apollo which I thought was a bit weird at the time - especially since there were no scooters to be seen (and they actually made scooters ... interestingly one of which was called the Cruiser [laugh]).

It is interesting how people see it as killing the brand - much the same as I suspect ha been said before for various things: wet clutches, 4-cylinder bikes, water-cooled and new-style monsters [laugh] ... probably the loss of the bevel drive, etc, etc.

When a company only makes 40,000 bikes a year (or whatever it is) - you probably don't need to sell that many to make a new model viable, considering the amount of likely donor parts from the rest of the range. And the size of the motorcycle market worldwide would indicate there is a large enough niche to make it happen ... and guess where you are likely to find that niche most prevalent? ... and what would be the dominant player in that market current? ... see it all makes perfect sense [cheeky] ;D

yep, fantastic little city full of great memories for me....sitting on the wall, eating fantastic food when a falcon came flying across and down into the field and picked up a field mouse.

the one you were looking at was a horrible clay model.if its like this one well take away that headlight
and the bottom oil cooler scoop and its starting to appeal.especially for a little ethnic chap such as....myself 8)
