Interesting, in Europe the current model is the XR-1000 as opposed to RF. There's also some slight differences like some color schemes an they seem to have an anti-fog insert.

The 1100 looks cool - we'll probably get it here. Probably just some red tape they need to wade through before they can announce it.

You can easily get a Pinlock faceshield (for the anit-fog insert) for Shoei helmets here. Or for HJC and Arai, for that matter.

finally a bigger pin-lock visor. That's the one downside of my current RAID II helmet. The edge obstruct your view a lot of the time.

The standard Shoeis have always had fogging problems but even when I didn't have problems with the visor fogging the breath guards always fogged up my glasses. I wish they would fix that too.

I like the RF-1000 Shoeis I have.

The new Helmet looks terrific !

I was right on the verge of buying an RF-1000. Now I have to figure out whether to go ahead, or to wait until the RF-1100 comes out. Even if I don't go with the new helmet, the price of the old ones will probably drop until they run out.

I got an email from Cyclegear earlier this week where one of the items was a pretty good discount on the 'Diabolic' flavors of the RF-1000 - so I'd bet there will be some deals on the 1000s once the 1100 hits the markets. Just don't wait too long, or all you get is XXXL or XXS

Once the 1100 hits, I'd start sniffing around Cyclegear and newenough
