G'day all, I originally posted this in the OZ Monsters area, but figured the rest of the board Members may find this of some use.

Now that I have been forced back into the world of Retail, my Monster is back to a daily rider again, now when I used to park it outside at my old job the Sun changed colours of anodized parts, destroyed Carbon fiber parts, and made the Seat, Bum burning hot  :o

So after consulting the members of the Forum, everyone suggested a Geza Gear bike cover, made to your bike size and tough as old boots.

Well I ordered one through there website, I received an Email about 3 days later asking me if I wanted to upgrade to a better version and receive a couple of little bonuses 1: A carry bag for the cover (which is to small to put the cover in) and some mirror covers (with rubber backed mirrors, these will prove very handy  [thumbsup])

So I advise I will upgrade 1 step and take the better cover with the bonus bits.

Then Nothing, no response, no confirmation

I wait a few weeks, and send Email asking if it is done/shipped, Etc, no response.
Another couple of Emails over the next few days... No response
Another Email sent 2 days later, finally a response: Cover finished today, shipping tomorrow.
(I am allowing they are a USA based company, so allowing for time differences)

I wait another couple of weeks, No cover.
Send an Email asking for Shipping Details/Con note, No Response.
Send a 2nd Email a day or two later asking again for Shipping details/Con note, again no Response

Waited another week
Sent another Email asking for Con note/Shipping info, Again no response
waited a couple more days and then sent another Email advising that if they don't make contact within 24 hours, I would be contacting my Bank and having the sale declared as fraudulent.

annoying part is, 2 hours after I sent the above Email, the cover arrived.

I then sent a further Email advising that the product had arrived, with a shipping date 3 weeks after they (in the only email they ever answered) had said it would ship! I advised my feelings on the whole sad state of affairs as far as customer service, and left it at that.
to this day, I still have not received an email back from them.

Thankfully the cover is excellent! it fits well and is superbly made, 10 out of 10 for the cover, 2 out of 10 for the customer experience.

Would I stop someone from buying a Geza gear cover?
no, but just be prepared for piss poor customer service and a very long wait.

Just out of the most random of curiousity.....

Did you make sure you had the right address and not one of the "Do not respond to this email-responses sent to this email will be scrapped" addresses?

  :P
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Yep, checked all that, in fact I sent it to there main Email address (as listed on the Webpage) and the Sales Email which is given to you to respond to when placing your order.

They responded once from the Sales Email, so I can only assume it was getting through somewhere.

And yes, I triple checked it was not a "Do not Respond" type of Email's.

To follow this up, today I get an Email from this Company, 18 months after this whole sorry saga began
offering a number of reasons why and apologizing for the delays.

Thanks for the Apology Geza Gear, better late then never.  [roll]

Unfortunately this has been 18 months as we have just learned about your concern a few days ago having found it posted here on this Forum. So, we wanted to touch base with you letting you know your e-mails were not being received by us, nor were you apparently not receiving our auto-responder replies. We have some ideas as to the cause, but those are not yet conclusive. Nor do we have any ideas as to why you too were not receiving our e-mail auto-replies. I would like to suggest to everyone, should something like this happen in the future with any company, just give them a call to inquire. Again, had we not come across your post on this Forum, we never would have known about your concern, so I am glad we came across it so we could address it.  At any rate, we do hope that your custom Geza Cover is continuing to meet your needs and that you are satisfied with your purchase. If we can be of further assistance, please call us at 703.327.9844 or e-mail us at gezasales@gezagear.com.

While I applaud your effort to resolve the situation, links to your commercial website are not appropriate for non-sponsors.

I have removed it from your post.

Alex, there are an absurd amount of absurdly reasonable people on here who really care for their bikes. As nice as I'm sure they are, I'm willing to bet many would have a great interest in your products.  Hit the introduction page, talk to the Flounders about a sponsorship and I'm sure you won't be disappointed   [thumbsup]

And welcome :)

@ Spankyduc: glad you like your cover.  I'm currently relegated to the world of weekend warriorship as I have a company vehicle, but rest assured the moment I'll be parking the old girl outside regularly I'll be in the market for some decent skin.
