Mawr pics, mawr better.   ;D

Lookin' good.  IIRC from that vid you posted a while back (superbike school), your body position was pretty good back then.  The line from your spine to your head is pretty much parallel with the centerline of the bike.  Not a lot of folks can say that and it's a great baseline to work from.  If you focus on really opening up your hips (even to the point of where it feels exaggerated) with the ball of your inner foot on the end of the inner peg, it'll help you get off the bike more while keeping your body parallel to the centerline.  And it'll help get your head down more toward the bars.  Vroom, vroom.

P.S.  You're a bold man.  I would never have the cahones to take a bike that pimped out to the track.  I'd be so skeered of binning it.

Thanks, Spidey.

I have to figure out something for the right side, as my boot is melted pretty bad....too bad VIR is so right-sided.

I did finally just get my left knee puck scraped too this time.   Little advances at a time....(G took a big speed increase and went down).

It's so funny how you feel so exagerated and then you see pictures and it looks totally fine and normal.   I felt like a total monkey hanging off this past weekend but pics show other riders and I think they weren't off enough.

I can work on both  more corner speed and roll on faster.   I got the throttle cracked open soon but could open it harder earlier.   an instructer worked on this with me on Sunday....he took the lead and I followed through some turns....muuuuch harder throttle out of turns.   By the end of the day I was a gear higher at the end of the main straight and leaving the last corner onto the straight had to start the turn a gear higher as I bounced the rev limiter a couple times.   big speed jump.

Debated bumping up to intermediate group but passing is difficult for me so I got a weekend of practice doing it in beginner group.   lots of clear track there too.

time for track bike.

Statler,

Your upper body is 6-7-8 inches inside, that's not too bad - and I know it feels like a whole lot more ;)
Elbows are exactly where they should be - not resisting.
Maybe you could lower your upper body more?

just nice to see pics of monsters on the track on the monster forum.   ;D    practicality will eventually take over with something that would likely crash better, but I think it will allways be fun doing things on the streetbike there that I can't do on the street.     Hell, wrestling around a big tourer on the track would be a hoot.
