after mainy hard years. I think my wrist have both had it. The left has been broken 3 times, the right 2...the arthritis kills me. I can't ride my bike for more than about 30 minutes without having terrible pains in both wrist.

I think I might have 2-3 solutions

The cheapest being a riser that goes in the bar clamp...but I don't know what would be called on a parts site. Or what site to find one one... [laugh] Anyone have any experience with these? I'm open for suggestions.

Options 2 and 3 are quite a bit more expensive.

2. hypertard
3. multistrada

;D

I'm afraid risers won't be enough - do you lean on your hands? If you do, risers or Rizoma bars (height and sweep back) probably/maybe won't bring you up enough to escape the problem. I had significant problems with my wrists/hands on the stock bar, with risers, and changed to clip ons for the down-angle and for the radical sweep angle - it helped A LOT. The SpeedyMoto Tall Boys clip ons will do all this, but still be about stock bar height, which isn't so demanding for the core muscles. I hope you find a solution [thumbsup]
252,000 km/seventeen years - loving it

so it was the sweep that helped with your wrist pain?
interesting....

i'll check those out too. I assumed that the bars being higher would cause me to lean on them less than I do now, thus ending my issues, but I can see how the sweep on clip ons would help too I guess.

maybe the new bike would be easier  [thumbsup]

got my bar-riser from ebay for $39.  rRaised my bar 1-1/4". very comfy on a long ride and my back and wrist do not hurt like before.
