Has anyone given vinyl paint wrap a thought, versus expensive panels or paint jobs? Looks like this stuff will form itself neatly around compound curves, making it look just like clearcoat metallic paint. And what seems kinda cool is that it's removable. Ive seen some people wrap their fork tubes in vinyl, but it looks like it also comes in other colors as well..

I just saw this site and the finishes don't look too bad.

I own a signwriting business and Custom paint bikes and do about 2 vehicle wraps a week and although it looks good it will never come close to paint in quality of finish.

You will always be able to say that it`s vinyl, because you do not have that nice thick coat of clear over the product. This always look good in photographs, but on closer inspection it will be obvious [bang]

Have to admit though that if it`s professionally done that it will stand up to daily abuse and will protect the real paint underneath [thumbsup]

Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.

kind of reminds me of the 3M tape hood shields. same stuff?
Never wrestle with pigs. You both get dirty, and the pigs like it...

Out of curiosity, have you used FLXpaint and was it difficult to apply?

I think it's very similar. It's basically paint protection vinyl, but with an actual flex coat of automotive paint with clearcoat on it.
