Hi all!

The name's Mukul (most people pronounce it as McCool.  Honestly!).  You might be wondering where the heck that weird name's from and the answer is that I'm originally from the small, hidden away country of Nepal.  I have, however, been living in Arizona (a mix of Tucson and Phoenix) for the past 17 years or so and it's taken me all this time to finally get used to the blistering heat.

I don't know what it is about bikes but when I wasn't riding one, I was pining over the ones I saw, wishing I could be on one each time.  Maybe that's what passion really means.  Anyway, I had an 03 Suzuki Katana 600 in 2006 as my first bike and unfortunately, it was a bit too unwieldy for me.  I dropped it going about 35 mph on some twisties and even though I came out virtually unscathed, the bike never ran the same and I ended up practically giving it away.

I just recently bought an 05 Monster 620 and from the moment I released the throttle, I've been in love.  I've been slowly getting the hang of the quirks and I want to do her justice as any owner of a Ducati should by treating her well and riding her right.  I'm taking the MSF beginner course and would love to start learning not only proper maintenance, but how to pamper the living daylights out of her.

I would love to use the bike for nice, twisty getaways.  There are plenty of beautiful roads in AZ but I'm definitely hellbent on exploring as much of the country as I can on a bike.  As soon as I am comfortable with longer trips, my plan is to take the bike from San Diego all the way to Seattle on the Pacific Coast Highway.  That's just one trip of many down the road, but for now it's my goal.

Looking forward to being a part of this community and learning what it's like to be a true Ducati owner.   :)  Here are some pics of the bike also.

Welcome!

Gorgeous bike.  Is this the one I have been seeing on Craigslist recently?

Cheers,

Sterling, you got it spot on.  I'm pretty surprised I found such a great deal but then again, that's what Craigslist is known for.  The guy was pretty nice too.  Drove it down to Mesa for me all the way from Prescott Valley.

Dietrich, I'll definitely check the AZ section out.  Hopefully I can get together with you all sometime soon.  Thanks for the info!
