Termis - Before or after

Hello,

can someone give me answer is it better to install Termis after first service (1000 km), or on brand new Bike with zero km?

From a technical stand point, I would think that the Termi's should be on the bike when the service is performed so that any adjustments to the bike can be made to the different amount of exhaust flow (with that being said, I am no mechanic).
If you haven't purchased anything yet, you might consider that if you buy the Termignoni's new with the bike, it can be financed together.  1000km later, it will be all out of pocket for the exhaust.

I would get them sooner than later. Why suffer when you don't have to?

Definitely sooner. I waited a little while before going with Termis, which I regret doing since the bike wasn't as fun to ride. For me it was a night and day difference between having them or running stock.

I am asking because on my first Monster there are still stock cans (my wife is owner ), and in next 10 days mine should be here. Termis are allready arrived and they waiting for bike to come. That is the reason why I have these dilemma before or after first service.
Maybe is better to wait first 1000 km because without that period I can hardly tell if there is any difference with or without new pipes. Anyway I have 10 days for considering both options, 10 looooooooong days .

based on your avatar, I'm guessing 696 or 1100, right?  I bought a 696 last year & got Termi's put on before I picked it up.  Having Termi's on a 696 solves alot of the fueling issues.  It doesn't get as hot as others have mentioned, as well.  If you have it in your budget to do it now, I'd seriously consider it.  I paid $1200 last year for Carbon.  You could get SS for under $900.  The prices are now about $1500 for carbon & $1000 for SS.

FYI, I have no FHE with the 1100.

I'd do it again in a heart beat.

Yes, we are talking about 696, bike on avatar is my wife's monster. My dilemma was to buy 1100 or 696, but 696 fits to me better, so I decide to buy black one.
I don't like CF cans, so I ordered SS cans, they should fit fine, it will be silver/black combination. CF will be better on white bike, so I think my wife will order another pair of Termis after she will see, or better say hear what a roar they produced.

The termi's on my bike are so friggen loud I prefer to wear ear plugs riding on the freeway.
The carbon never gets to hot to touch, the SS might.
