Is it a vespa, or one of the korean maxi scooters or aprilia-like performance scooters?
And, how well does it go with passenger? I'm thinking of getting one, something reasonably priced for short distance two-up rides.

My personal preference would be for the Vespa.  I like the classic look  [thumbsup]

Probably not the kind of scooter you're thinking of, but I just picked up one of these. Great for downhill, although it's illegal on all bay area trails, so I have to go early in the morning and sneak a ride. I've been kicked off of two mountain biking trails so far. Technically, it's a bi-cycle.

I'm waiting for my dog harnesses so I can do this. It'll cost me in dog food, but save on gas. I like toys ;D

Is it June yet?

had a Yamaha Vino125 for a couple years. They are a lot less expensive than Vespa/Piaggio, but still decent build quality and there is a dealer network.
I rode it some with wife on back, it would keep up with in town traffic, although acceleration was pretty weak. Riding solo it would go 55.

of course, it's only my favourite when my girlfriend is riding it... or me...

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here, this is the War Room.

There is nothing noble in being superior to some other man.  The true nobility is in being superior to your previous self. And in bacon.

im torn between a couple different bikes.  i want a fun little toy to ride around town that is not fast enough to get me in too much trouble.  i cant decide if i want to get a honda ruckus or a yamaha vino.  both of them have highs and lows.  the ruckus gets better mileage, and has a bigger aftermarket (that ive found so far) but the zuma is a two stroke, and it has disc brakes on the front stock.  i cant decide.

Well, I'm a Vespa guy.

I'd consider a Stella very seriously, too.
