Any truth to this?

LOL...interesting craigslist post!  There are rumors that AMG's division of Mercedes Benz may take over Ducati, as they have been heavily sponsoring Ducati race teams.  I don't see legacy Ducati models suddenly increasing in value...on a positive spin, I think it may improve Ducati's quality assurance program.  Again, "if" it happens and is managed well..I think Italian styling and German engineering would be a great marriage!

And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

This answers one question I had:

http://honolulu.craigslist.org/oah/mcy/2854013285.html

But that now begs three other questions,

If the bike can be seen at South Seas does that mean it's on consignment down there?

How much for the exhaust cans / ECU?

What about the seat?
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

No mention of the slipper clutch either!

I'd buy it at the listed price if you included the exhaust/chip.

It's not on consignment...thanks for the catch.  The seat was sold to David 2x weeks ago.  As for the price, I changed it to 12,500 w/ the Termi's & ECU.  I think it's a fair price, but I'm open to feedback...is it high, low or just right?!

12.5K sounds good with the pipes.  Leave it at that & see who bites.  It'd sort of be fitting if you sold it to Ben but you'd have to make him cover the shipping.   ;D   ( Of course I know someone who could hold onto the bike for a bit while he arranges for said shipment   [evil] )

Does that mean you'd sell the cans/ECU for a grand?  I don't know if the cans would fit the 848 pipes but if they did I'd be real interested. I'll do some checking.

BTW -- when you changed the ad you left a misspelling where you said you were selling the bike to (ato) make room for another bike.  No worries.... pretty typical for CL  [laugh]

The cans should fit!!  ------ All the Akrapovic, Leo Vince and Arrow cans fit right up to all the models. Only the ECU is different & I can deal with that separately.

I'd put 848 skins in it.

That'd be just like you. Sneaky guy.  Show up to a group ride with a new bike and leave them wondering how come you can go so fast.   ;D

I wish I read your post sooner.  I have a possible interested party that saw it last night.  If he doesn't come through, we can work something out for the cans.  I'd rather see you enjoy them, especially since you help us so much with our bikes.

I take it that you mean you have someone interested in the whole bike package.  You have to go for that. If he falls through then definitely let me know!!

The Paso was the bike that made me realize that Ducs were something unique and special.

Even today, a Paso will stand out in any crowd. I wouldn't want a 750 but this is a 907 - a totally different animal.

It's sexy as hell.
It's 2 hours from me.
I could never lose money on it.
I'm soooooooo tempted !
