Have you been reading the new issue of Sport Rider lately?

not sure I've ever picked up an issue of sport rider...

I just set about thinking of a way to make the 848/1098 a better looking machine.

Yep.

Teddy --- this is for you, although Ben already has dibs on it.

It has the Bonnie engine not the Trophy engine.

Shazaam. This looks interesting again, body work changes and all. Too bad I don't fit it well.

No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

The license plate area looks like one of those in-air refueling pod thingies.  But not bad, considering.

Both the R6 and R1 have had that taillight appendage for years. I think it's the first thing people yank off. You'd think Yamaha would get the message by now. Plus they haven't done anything with those ugly front turn signals either. More money for the aftermarket vendors I guess.

They also missed the boat on the new nose for the R1.

Wasn't Shawn talking about how they actually increased the weight of the bike while the power decreased?

The R6, when we were down there that Saturday.

I didn't hear that part since I have all but crossed the Yamaha off the list due to ergonomics & power delivery characteristics. The 2009 website lists the R6 as 414 lbs. wet. The 2008 specs list it as 366 lbs. dry. Not much help there.

I've already looked at the Suzuki......ahem, you know the rest of the story on that one.

As for the Aprilia, the one in LA could be had for less. Either way going that route is moving away from the defined parameters.

Wasn't sure if that was THE one or not.  Too bad it was...
