Yeah the NMMR is a kick in the seat. If the main mods ever make their way over there they will be aghast at the rampant threadjacking. Talk about a group with ADD.

Mods (not DDGM or Randimus) & other self proclaimed rulers of the Ducati Monster Universe are Pm'ing me telling us to back off.

We have a very cool thing and don't think any of us want to screw it up.

Pokin' at each other here (NMMR) is part of the fun because there are so few of us & we all know each other pretty well & mean no harm.

Playing on the General is fun, but their sense of humor sucks...Bad. 
They think if you're not talking about a naked motorcycle, complaining about the weather, H-D's, cages, another bike (that costs more than their $4,000.00... 10 year old 60hp Italian bike)  or women (riding, driving or breathing), it is worthless to discuss. 
So, please be gentle, they have weak little hearts.

Keep em' thinking with the posts you write, but don't keep them wondering if they need to be our babysitters.

And yes, I love screwing with a few of these guys...Total tools

I didn't know I had pissed on anything of yours. All I brought up was about someone in our group saying something that probably didn't need to said there.

And yes I did find it strange with all the new bashing threads (see women drivers, women & cell phones...), that we are the ones that got sent to our rooms.  I didn't think anything could top Dolph & Somegirls mud slingin'.

Sorry we broke a rule. I/we enjoy it here & all you do for us Nate.

That comment was more directed at what you said in here regarding our (flounders) senses (lack of) of humor and our "weak little hearts".

There will always be some things that get by us. If you guys see something that is wrong...use the RTM button. That's why it's there. I don't follow every thread.

You guys were singled out because it was a second (at least) request to back off the thread jacking...and I happened to be following that particular thread. I thought (tried) I did it in a manner that followed what I saw was going on. Just some horsing around in the wrong place. It was a request dp style. Trust me...I rarely scold...I just push the red button when someone pisses me off and move on.

Despite what people think I do have a sense of humor and want this place to be fun. I don't do this for the money...that's VSs job.

That's why there are so many local boards and so little moderation in them...so people can joke around with their local buds without anything being misconstrued or subject to outside scrutiny be it from the admins or the rest of the members.

If you want some tom foolery outside of NMMR come on over to NMC. Pretty much anything goes. Just be aware that is where I spend most of my time here. So if my management style bothers you...that wouldn't be the place to be.

And that comment had absolutely nothing to do with you, speeddog or any other mod. Sorry if you took it that way. The "they" comment was directed at the standard joes (not Flounders) that start the threads & then go on a rampage. 

You're sarcastic...and that aint weak.   I find it to be one of my better traits.

Some of us have actually been around long enough on the DMF and TOB to know what the mods will and won't tolerate.  The NMMR has the same reputation on the DMF as it did on the DML.  The mods have always known about it, no big secret was let out by Scottish's post, for crying out loud.  Threadjacking is our deal, so what.  Like Ducpainter says, keep it local, no prob.  DDGM has done a good job, we stay in line for the most part so we don't get him in trouble.  We all know how badly things can go when folks get nasty with each other.  No one was thrown under the bus.  Anyone can snoop our board and see what we are about.

Scottish, I apologize for offending you by questioning your comment, but just because "that's how we do it", did it really need to be said to folks we don't know? And yes I see you addressed that. When people are contacting me asking why someone would say that, it bothered me, sorry, really.

Who are "these people"? Why didn't they ask me? If my behavior is what's buggin them then perhaps I'm the one who need to be asked. As for the situation at hand it IS well known and I was making a joke of it, NOT throwing anyone under the bus and the insinuation is insulting and yeah it pisses me off.

You act like the mods are gonna come in here and start policing us all the time. They aren't, the NMMR was just like this on the DML before you were even around, and will continue like this after we're both gone. The mods know we are a disfunctional family in here and we like it this way. As long as we aren't beating the rules with a stick they let us police ourselves on the locals with the help of Skinner.

The only time I've ever seen them come in and take over a group was the Denver board on the DML and that was wayyyyyyy more FUBAR than our jacking. So mellow the hell out, get over yourself they have better things to do than police threadjacking in our little corner.
