Wow, what a novel idea. Peace and quite! So glad you're doing well. Please pass along my best wishes to Steph too.  [beer]

What's with all the digging??!!

First it was a huge hole & trenches for the new septic tank. There's actually 2 separate drains coming out of the building for the 2 bathrooms.
Then it was another huge hole for the 500 gallon propane tank.
After that, big trench for the new water line & removal of the old meter (new meter was relocated just over the property line by the highway.)
Now we're excavating around the perimeter foundation. The soil was too high, by a foot in some places. We're waterproofing the foundation below grade level, & will redo the dirt so there's a good slope away from the building for drainage.
Anyone have a backhoe for sale?!? ;D

I'd consider a Bobcat. Those things can get into and around most places a backhoe can't AND they have a backhoe attachment!

Saw a huge coyote yesterday. They are quite beautiful, & I didn't realize how large they are.
So far I've seen 2 very large bull elk, 1 on the side of the road, & 1 in my lane. Fortunately my kill count is still zero  [thumbsup] ;D

Huge coyote equals wolf, or possibly shapeshifter. Have any silver bullets?  ;D

The screen door on the back door of my family's NM cabin (near Cimarron) has some bear claw marks ripped into the screen material. The bear obviously stood up on his hind legs to look into the cabin through the window in the door and had his front paws on the screen door. Probably let them scrap on the screen when he lowered back down on all fours. It looks really cool and no one wants to replace the screen! It always gives Jennifer and Colin the hebbie-jebbies when ever they see it! [laugh] Bears are the equivalent of a 300 lb. raccoon!! [laugh]
