Fair price?

that's better than what i was quoted at Beverly Hills... they wanted $11,060.

I'm shooting to get out the door with gear (helmet, jacket) and lojack for that price.  (i may be pushing it.)
Red 696- You can call her Isabella.

those are some hefty numbers for the entry-level monster  :P

I know the dollar's falling and all but still...

When I went to Ducati of Seattle, they gave me the same quote...it sounded fair I guess...I just hit a couple thousand past my limit

i payed less than that for my brand new s2r1000 in 2006 (first one un crated at my dealer...)

as someone else said, the 696 is supposed to be entry level... ???
Never wrestle with pigs. You both get dirty, and the pigs like it...

Yeah I was under the impression that it was supposed to be just under $9000.

Does anyone know anything about financing for it?
Speed is always relative.

Local dealer in NJ was asking $10K for 696 w/termis and aftermarket seat - and they've got a S2R1K w/200 mi's on it and Arrows (I think) for $10K

not a hard decision if you ask me  [cheeky]

The honolulu place says the MSRP is $8775 on their website.  I too had called to ask their out-the-door price and was told $10,600.  We only have a sales tax of 4.137-ish %, which would be about $363 added to the $8775 = $9138.  So where does the additional $1462 come from?  ???

I know the SA has to earn a living, but isn't his/her commission already factored into the MSRP price?

I am not too keen on that dealership anyway, don't know if I would want to give them my business, although in Hawaii it is our only choice.  Called them 4 different times for parts, washer for oil pressure sensor, bulb for license plate, screws for tank latch, and split rings for closing shims.  Each time they said they did not have the item is stock, take 2 weeks.    Not stocking some items I understand, but how the hell do they not have split rings for closing shims if they are a Ducati dealer?   >:(   How can they do required maintenance?

Ahh... but the servant waits, while the master baits.

I think they sit down together to do a guestimation of how much they should charge for "setup fees"...it involves a lot of  [drink]

Bike: $8799 + $350 Doc/Shipping + 6% Sales Tax = $9697.94

Gear:
Arai Profile = $430
Ducati 80's Tex = $226
Motard Gloves = $130

A little more than I wanted to spend, but I'm happy.  No buyers remorse at all.

**Oh, and I was also told by Ducati of North America that getting them now will get you the rear seat cover and front fairing.  They are going to stop shipping them with the extras soon.  I didn't really want the front fairing, but I'm glad I got the rear seat over.

I have no idea what you are talking about....
