I got this from Lockitt online and use it to tie two
bikes together. It's thick though, so running it through
a frame is tight.

Sounds good Dan. $180 well spent if it saves a bike. I'm a huge fan of locking bikes together. Kind of a take off on the Lays potato chip ad: Bet you can't eat just one. My version: Bet you can't steal just one.

yeah...i may just break down and grab a 5016L onguard chain... 14mm titanium enforced hexagonal hardened steel chain links sounds pretty formidable to me.

It's obvious when your looking at a Duc and a Jap bike side by side. I just need more cash to experiment with both...and a BMW 1000RR etc.
