Just a little something I am restoring.  Guesses?

Had to repaint the frame and fenders as it sat for 40 years without a cover.  Some of the chrome is chipped off the wheels, forks and handlebars but I am leaving them like it is.  Also not repainting the headlight bucket or tank for now.  May change my mind when it all goes together.  All that has to be finished is the new wiring harness and I can put her back together!
Two things I don't do.  Keyboard bullies and hypocrites.
Feel free to PM me if needed, otherwise you will find me elsewhere.

The forks look like it could be a Benelli

Not a Benelli,  Not anything starting with a "B".  Maybe the game needs it's own thread lol.

It is Italian, right?

But of course!  All the bolts on the bike are Metric and it is an Italian motor.

Somebody else needs to solve this one.  ??? I tried a Google Images search for "vintage Italian motorcycles two stroke"  but didn't really see anything that had the same type of fork, swing-arm, or frame.

That's the brand that came to my mind at first, but then I've owned five different Bultacos.

Nope not a Bulltaco.  Hint: The bike is stock, but is a factory created bastard of sorts.

Hint 2:  In 1968 this company had a dismal road racing bike and partnered with a Italian company to produce the 125cc all metric machine.

uh... 2nd guess it right I'm pretty sure here
Nope not a Moto Moroni.  I don't think its a Moto Morini either  ;)

I think the clue is in that it has an Italian engine... so not necessarily an Italian brand...
