My people skills are just fine.
It's my tolerance to idiots that needs work.

That's fantastic!

A bevel with chipped case paint, a tattered seat, and dirt on the tires.
One actually getting ridden.

I actually saw these guys up close while on a ride in Monterey CA this last February.  I can appreciate what they are doing but that thing they are riding is atrocious.  The top was flapping around and people were staring.  Myself included.

Gorgeous, [bow_down]
It's scary to think about what I would do for one these!!!

I know.... but try and get that through the local DMV.   [roll] [roll]
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

Maybe this deserved a build thread, probably not.  However, SHE LIVES! This little bike is now up and running.  We had one tiny glitch in that the 40 year old taillight bulb burned out and for some silly reason one needs a working taillight to stay running.

Anyway, my Uncle set the 1970 125cc two stroke land speed world record at Bonneville Salt Flats in 1970.  A whopping 78.6mph.  In order to do it he removed everything that weighed anything, including the seat and the rear shocks.  He sat on a towel....  We will be at the Quail Lodge Motorcycle Gathering on the 17th of this month.  Pretty excited to see her run again as I got my desire to ride watching my uncle pull wheelies and standing on the seat when I was five.

Awesome.  [thumbsup]
...and the fact it has such sentimental close family history makes it very special.
Hope you have fun at the Quail.  [wine]
