Hi All,

I have been riding motocycles for about 35 years now but mostly motocross. I moved from rainy Washington State to where you can't ride road musch becasue of the weather to SoCal (Huntington Beach) in July 2004. I bought a Honda cruzer but after a year I kind of got board with it. I started looking for something else and one day I saw my first Ducati Monster. That was that. I had to get one. After I read up on them I figured a good old M900 would be best for a first used Monster. I looked for a few months and finally I had enough money put away to start getting serious. I found a 96 M900 in excellent shape for $4000. I have been riding it to work most days for about two months now. I friend of mine who has a Yamaha FJ1200 took a ride down to San Diego with me down the Pacific Coast Highway and back. Boy what a great ride. I love the bike and it puts a smile on my face everytime I even look at it. i would post a picture but i haven't figured out how yet. ;D

Welcome.

The dirt is one of the best places to hone your skills for the street.
Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.

Thanks to all for the welcome.....As with all Monsters, you can't leave them stock so I bought a matching seat cowl off Ebay and boy does that make the bike look great. I also got some really nice aluminum lowered pegs. I'm 6' 1" and don't have full range of motion in my left leg so it was a bit cramped. These pegs worked out great and I still have enough ground clearance. Hopfully I will be able to add something here and there. I plan on getting some Arrow CF up pipes for it early next year (work bonus [clap]).
