Looks like there is a Ducati / Italian Bikes only day coming up at Barber.  Can you say "FIELD TRIP?!?!?!"

That's the weekend of Miller in Utah and it looks like the goal is for all Ducatisti to have something rockin' and track-related to do that weekend. The west coast has their fun, the south will have its!

Its in the planning stages, and I might... just be throwin' in my 2cents where I can (I'm trying to get more involved in our community!). I'm looking to make it a huge success and to incorporate some of my Nashville/Atlanta ties as well as bring a ton of Texas Ducatisti.

I know there's a few trackdays a little closer around here around that time, but with the extended weekend it would be an awesome opportunity to see the museum, ride the track, see the enormous spider sculptures, and 'get out of town'. And being an Italian-only event, there should be significantly less squids!

Let's get a show of hands, purty please.

I will never have another Memorial Day motorcycle experience so I can't go to either Miller/WSBK or the Barber/Italian bike throw down. :'( That's my wife's birthday and for some odd reason she thinks I need to do something with her. Weird huh? [bang]

I'm interested in this.  I've got a truck and trailer for 2 bikes.

Very cool. Hopefully some larger-scale group transportation will come together, or we may plan a robust caravaning procedure.

Note, like the last Ducati only event, there will be somebody special (recall last time it was Larry Pegram). This one, in my opinion, looks to be EVEN cooler. [thumbsup]

Of course, more details will come up in the near future. I'm trying to get a good headcount now across Texas and the Southeast. Barber ain't cheap and I want this to go "right" (especially if I'm even remotely affiliated with it by bringing it to everyone's attention).

you mean you will charge an assessment to cover your cost right?  [leo]  :-X

Just throwing this out there but does anyone have a large enclosed trailer?  We've got a 3/4 ton, 4-door diesel truck... 13,000 lbs. towing capacity  ;D

junior varsity

perhaps we can find an old horse trailer for all our 'iron steeds'. [laugh]

Very cool. Tell everybody you know with Italian wheels. They are invited. Gotta get a lot of people, Barber's not a cheap track to get (and its very much worth it).

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.
