Cars and Bikes (and coffee?) at Ruf in Carrollton 3/27

Saw this on the Plano BMW/Duc store site - sounds like a fun stop Saturday morning 

The Cars & Bikes event is rapidly approaching and the excitement is building!!

The event will be held March 27, 2010 from 8am â€" 12 noon at RUF Auto Centre in Carrollton.  Both RAC and European Cycle Sport will have several rare and unique Cars & Bikes on display and we invite you to join us for the day.  Whatever your passion, two wheels or four, come out and participate as this gathering will no doubt continue to grow!!

It amazes me to see the level of mods and tuning going on today with Porsches. Wow! 500-600 bhp 997s!

In the olden days when I had my 1970 911T (two solex carbs) the 'common man' could actually own, drive and maintain a 911. These days it seems it takes a large garage to store and work on the car or have a crew of machanics you employ, a detail shop, a trailer and hauler, and, most importnatly a seven-figure income to fund it all. Not to mention the indispensible membership in "The Club" as well as concours orgs etc., all this in order to be a part of the Porsche scene! Sadly, that's a lot of work.    But I still love to look at 'em!!  ...just wish I could still drive one...

That is pretty good...you should see what Horsepower Freaks (Portland, OR) are doing with the BMW M3 (E46 body style '99 - '05)...on stock internals:  600-1,000hp.  Always liked the 911.
