Switters

Hey there.

Just placed the order on a new 696 last week.

I won't be getting the bike till about July, as I'm currently working in South Korea.....Planning to take the riding courses and a get a full set of gear before heading out on the road with the new bike.... sounds like a I should get frame sliders too... :-p

Rode dirtbikes alot growing up, but never got onto a streetbike till I landed here in Korea.  WELL.  Big mistake.  Apparently, Korean wives have a saying.... If you're unhappy with you husband, put salt in his food....if you're impatient, buy him a motorcycle....

Korea is NOT the place to learn to drive on the road...... Ended up lowsiding going only 20 mph on a REAL tight 120 degree left hander after only about 100 miles into riding....

Anyway, learned my lesson, got to ride a bit more but it got pretty dangerous over here, with about 14 of 20 riders I work with having serious accidents (They say the bus drivers here have "crazy" eyes..... one friend saw them REAL close)...

Hoping to take it nice and slow and learn the rest of riding the easier way....

Cheers!

Welcome and congrats on your upcoming arrival. [thumbsup]  We'll be looking forward to the updates in a few months. ;D

Yeah, the Korean drivers are pretty crazy, I've been in a fender bender in Seoul (I was a passenger in one of the cars).  Glad to hear you survived and are still riding.   Stay safe! :)
