That's good. It's been a while but I saw him one day at AMS/D and he told me that he had bought a 1098 but was taking it very easy. Always a good idea. Rich, how's your S.O. getting along with her riding and is the 919 treating her well? [moto]

well...it's more like, how is she treating the 919...   but it's going... she's not riding very much lately.  we've done just a few saturday sessions in parking lots so far; i have yet to give her the green light to be on the streets      she still needs lots of practice on turns from a stop, mainly in the area of clutch work.  i think she's starting to understand it, but she's still a good ways off from being confident to the point she could ride on the streets.

Hey, that's progress!! Not a damn thing wrong with taking it slow, as she should. We all had to start somewhere, everyone started at ground zero and learned from the mistakes. She'll make hers but best to keep mistakes limited to parking lots at first. Those mistakes are easier to deal with, no extra drama from car traffic and potholes. [moto] With the arrival of spring weather hopefully she can get in some more practice. Tell her to keep it up!!

Sorry to hear about the craptastic road conditions, and too bad about Doc's. The place had class; its having been the first hospital (infirmary, really) in Muenster really resonated with my antiquarian ass. However, the service was so slow during the ill-fated Raid on Red River run, that we left. I hate to remember it that way. I will miss the big screen TV we watched the 2008 Brno (I think?) WBSK races on, and the chance to tump another one of those huge red plastic glasses of iced tea over into Red's lap. They don't have that at Rhomer's (Rhoemer's, Rumors? whatever...). Maybe new ownership will take the old place over...?

Marquis and I talked briefly about the 2008 Muenster run at the Philip Island MotoGP race watching party last November at AMS. He said he couldn't remember anything from the time he entered that sweeper until he woke up in a hospital bed. Consciousness is a wonderful thing, isn't it?
