I used to work in the automotive aftermarket industry for over 10 years building race and show cars.  Show cars were built for Scion and other aftermarket companies while the race cars were in the field of road racing and touring.

I just learned to ride and looking at purchasing a monster but can't figure out which one would fit me best.  Weighing the options of factory performance and modability.  Some Duc friends tell me I should be a purist and stick with the 2000-2007 models whereas my other friends tell me to head towards a 1100S.  Since i'm pretty green to bikes it's tough.

Anyone have suggestions or input as far as features?  Maybe I should start a thread to be a bit more formal...

I'd suggest starting a thread in the General Forum, you'll get a bigger range of responses there.

Personally, my bias is towards one of the older ones.

Grace comes with age! I would say choose wisely but any choice in the Monster category is a wise one. Keep us posted on the progress/purchase. And pics are always welcomed!!
