I've been meaning to try this out for a while now, and today it kind of came together.  The end result did NOT please my wife, but I'm pretty stoked:

Nibor

hehehe nice  ;D

i tried out the 750 without the mufflers on it, straight out of the headers after it merges and splits. the missus was not impressed either. all the boys at work were though ;D ;D ;D

pardon me if I'm wrong, but Doesn't the speedo read about 70kms/hr or so? or is it just my eyes

If 70kms/hr is warp speed i'd hate think what 170kms/hr is.( hyperdrive maybe?)

Great pic NFG.
Saw something very similar recently, wanted to go out and do it but ya beat me too it.
Do I imagine you were using a cable release?

NFG

No cable release, just a 20 second timer and plenty of stops on side roads.  Press button, vroom, SNAP, <repeat>.

sydmonster

how long was the exposure rate?

And a 30 sec timer ?

This won't hurt much.... Trust me......

NFG

The camera's self-timer options are, IIRC, 2, 5, 10 and 20 seconds.  I set it to 20 so I'd have time to get up to speed and line it up, but 10s is all I really needed.

Sweet pic! Thanks for the info on how to do it too!  [thumbsup]
Bikes I've jumped and/or crashed:
84 Kawasaki KDX 80 - Bike i learned to ride on when I was young(er)
84 Kawasaki KDX 200 - First naked bike. crashed so frequently the plastics wouldnt stay on.
99 KTM 620 - If you could even get the thing kick started in the first place...
02 Yamaha Zuma - not a motorcycle but still crashed and jumped it way too many times.
04 Harley Road King Classic - Awesome story behind this
06 Ducati S2R 1000 - neither.... yet.

i dont think the camera on my Iphone would work very well for this  :'(
it is so much easier to get forgiveness then it will ever be to get permission.
