Hey Guys, I meeting a friend at Twin Peaks in Lewisville next to Vista Ridge Mall tomorrow for a ride around town.  Anyone want to join?  I know its short notice but though I'd ask.  When plan to meet at 1pm.

I'm all wrapped up around the axle this weekend, especially on Sunday, so my Saturday gets screwed with stuff I could normally spread out over both days. Junior has lots of Scout stuff and baseball games on Sunday so no rides for me.

Where are you guys going to ride? Knowing that everyone is riding both days will give me something to think about so I won't fall asleep during Scouts and baseball games.

Again, no decent ride for me this weekend but it is time for my annual right of spring. Every April at the Frontiers of Flight Museum at Love Field they have a fly in that includes a B-17, B-24 and a P-51. In years past they have also had a B-25 like Doolittle flew in his bombing raid on Japan in 1942 but sadly not this year.

I always like to ride the scooter there and stare at those great planes. It costs some coin to get in but I think it's worth it. My friend's Dad was a B-17 pilot and was shot down twice. My Dad never flew combat but he was an instructor in the old Army Air Corp... pre Air Force. Too bad both have passed, we would love to take them. I've had some great discussions with some old WWII vets who flew those very planes. Had an old fellow in a wheel chair point at a tiny inspection type door near the left side inboard engine and calmly tell me how he was shot down twice and both times had to bail out that little door right next to a flaming engine with it's prop still turning!!
