i just don't i could swallow $1k on calipers. the r6 ones are <$100 all day, and they're suppose to be really good or at least for a street bike. those are pretty gnarly though.

i got my r6 forks w/matris internals today. fist pumps all around. i went to my buddies shop, cause he has a digital caliper, to take measurements off the forks. all the measurements are in mm's.

So, what are your plans for the axel...or bearings?

Düb Lüv

i probably going to buy a r6 and machine it to fit, and buy different bearing. or have a custom axle made. not sure yet.

ok, I was thinking you were working with a 25mm bearing wheel.

Those fork axle hole seem to be such odd numbers?  What size is the axel suppose to be on the R6?

For example later ducati axels are an even 25mm on the small end and 30mm on the big end.

i have no idea on the r6 axle, but looking at pics on ebay. the only has 2 diameters. 1 for the (right) 28mm side and the rest of the axle is about 22mm's.

i believe this is how i can get this to work 1 of 2 ways.

1st:
r6 axle
22mm i.d. wheel bearings and new hub spacer
required axle spacers

2nd:
custom axle
25mm wheel bearings and hub spacer
required axle spacers

that's good to know about the 25mm axle. i didn't know it had those diameters. i've never seen one. is there a lot of thickness to machine it down 2mm on the big end and 3mm on the opposite end?
open to any thoughts

i found 22mm bearings. 22x47x14 honda bearing. honda part number 91002-MCT-003 . about $15 each.

how big are the bearings on your bike? id keep it simple and use your own axle with 2 spacers for the axles and 1 for the wheel spacing.
