Not sayin I'm world class material, but I hold my own in my field. I've been a sole proprietor and been in multi-jeweler shops (as is my current situation).
In a big shop, just hope the competent mech gets the job.
BTW, AMS rocks!

coming from a guy (a m) who works at the big dealer it doesn't mean much. if you walked into our heavy duty truck shop you would say there is no way they are working on my diesel. little would you know we have one of the top two deisel techs in the north texas. they way a shop looks or their size doesn't determine how good or bad their work is. the people doing the work determine that.

parts piled on the floor, shipping the wrong parts*, that's what sent up red flags for me. And me at AMS is a new thing. I moved to Dallas to read all day, not for bikes.

Alain in Nashville ran a two person shop. Think of it like Stuart, with a second guy (Andy) who got wood over guzzi's, while Alain focused on Ducs. It was a great shop. Very small (two rooms), but really well organized and run.

There's small, and then there's flirting with disaster.

*Including bent bolts.

There is such a thing as organized chaos to some, not me but some.

well I just saw this, but I would have to agree with most:  the handling of the bikes is great for me. I am a chicken shit, so it always does what i ask of it.  plus I love the sound of those D&D's and open clutch!!!!!  looking for car alarms everyday!!!  also LYD was done by me!

yes! we all know the fastest is matte black! no clear coat which means less weight!! remember in racing it's all about a tenth here or there and that clear coat could be your tenth!
home will always be between the red and rio!!!
