2008 S2R1000 changed - spark headers and tail cut done, rizoma grips indicator lights and clutch cover titax levers, DP ECU, open filter, ...... maybe stop then............. nah think i'll add rizoma rearsets and their conical handlebar is f..hot... and then i need to get rid of those mirrors....

I have often thought about it, but with my bike being a daily rider, and with our wet season up here in Cairns being about 2 months long, I think I won't be chopping at any time soon, I like the look, but I just think it would cause more hassles in our tropical weather, I prefer the extra protection from the Shit the rear wheel throws up.

I seen to be thinking down the same lines as you C/Duc dont fancy a wet arse :-\

But i dont do that much wet rides so still in 2 mindes  ???
If I wasn't who i was, I wouldn't be who I am !

Well you all know my position on the chop.
But it is a very personal choice, i never really considered the wet arse thing.
Like Dock, riding in the rain is not something I choose to do, unless I get caught out of course.

But I am a chop it man.
Again though I understand resale is harder once it's chopped.
Mine being a 620 is an easier model to sell.

Dock, looking at yours every time I see it, it gets prettier.
So I'd say leave it and look forward to the RR later in the year.

cheers

i don't quite get all this fuss about getting a wet arse......you get wet anyway when riding in a wet so where is the difference?

CairnsDuc

Yeah I know you get wet when Riding, But up here in the rain, You get the Mud, rocks, animals, children.
Amazing amount of crap thrown up.
And carrying a back pack to work it is one less thing getting soaked.

Don't get me wrong, I love the look and if I didn't use my S2R 800 as an everyday rider, that bastard would be gone in about 10 seconds.
I have tidyed things up with a Smoked Lense(s) on the tail light and indicators and a resart eliminator.

So I'm happy (for now, I reserve the right to change my mind  ;) )
