Sunday was an awesome day... I spent the day flogging the Trip 9 out on the track... and boy can the pregnant dog fly... indicated on the speedo was 169 before I hit my brake markers and turned in... insane.... the bike handles beautifully on that track... Viktor came and hung out and tested a bunch of new bikes... but I couldn't tear myself away from the track long enough to get a run on a test bike... maybe next time... I was having way too much fun..... it sprinkled on us a bit... but the track stayed dry and it was hot out all damn day.

Monday... around 5 am, I am awakened by a torrential down pour... the SV650 is on the trailer out in the rain... I went out and threw on a tarp while I had coffee and showered... as I got ready to leave it stopped raining and I pulled the tarp and headed over to PIR. The track was soggy and puddled... I went out with the A group... a bunch of hooligan racers opening the morning... it wasn't raining, so I left my DOTs on, but there were too many puddles... I took it easy till lap 3 when I decided to turn it up, I shot down the straight and turned into T1... but the rear decided not to turn... it shot out from under me faster than blue assed fly in mating season.... I tumbled down and off the track... I had sheared the rear set and brake line right off of the bike, plus about half of my front brake lever... I picked it up and rode back into the pits.... 20 minutes later, the sun comes out and bakes the track clean... if I had only waited... I put the pregnant dog back together... and got back out there... I missed one session (not including the half I spent in the grass.)  I turned some mighty fast laps in the sun... (minus rear brakes) ... I had to pull it all off...oh well.

Two days later and I am still pretty sore. Falling off is not as exciting as it looks.

I think that crashing is more exciting:
1) while it's happening
2) for the spectators

The aftermath sucks for the actual participant.  Stretch and keep mobile.  Feel better buddy.  Oh,and everyone I showed the 'Medieval 5 year olds' story to loved it :)
