This is what Stoner had to say about Nicky and using his data:

"Nothing against Nicky, but I’ve been able to run a lot faster lap times and problems normally come when you start pushing a little more.  So, when Nicky starts becoming more comfortable with the bike and the lap times start dropping he might start having issues like I am now."

What an complete asshat.

Stoner is so awesome, he can't help but crash the bike.

The bike is bowing before him  [roll]

Reading quotes like that I hope to see him stay upright next go around and Hayden to finish 2 or more places ahead of him.

We found out last year that he's lactose intolerant. Maybe someone in the crowd had milkshake and he had a bad reaction.

fwiw, they didn't really want him the first time. given the way they treated him, i'd be surprised if he ever went back.

(despite currently having to americans on the roster, a more likely destination would be yamaha.)

Perhaps it was Stoner who got HIS milkshake drunk?   ;)

i drink your milkshake

I think Nicky should start saying this every time he finished ahead of Casey.

It was a lot easier to like Stoner when he was winning instead of whining.  Last season and this one, he is coming off really unlikeable, even to the casual follower.

It seems the astute followers have known his true colors even before his Ducati time.

This season he's coming off unlikable even to his fans, that's a big problem. Not to mention that he's back to his original crashtastic form on what at least appears to be the same bike. I'd love to see him race on the screamer to see if it made a difference.

Sad to see Stoner and the Ben bin it.

Good to see the 'bot get eaten alive in the final laps.  [beer]

Lorenzo seems to be pretty relaxed, that's got to worry Rossi.

Seems like more people crashing this year, and having problems with front grip.
Rossi's got rear grip problems, but I'm convinced he's tilted his setup to get the front to work, sacrificing the rear.

Ducati will probably work really hard to keep Nicky around. He might not be the fastest guy out there, but he keeps the sponsors happy with all his appearances. He also helps to sell bikes in the US. if they lost him, they would probably go after another American, either Edwards or someone coming up the ranks and put em on Pramac.

yeah, but all the publicity and PR events in the world can't match a red bike in Parc Ferme at every race.

another step or two forward... and le mans is ducati's "worst track"... and i think we'll be seein ol' flatbill up there again.

Nicky is a hard worker with the right ethic which makes it hard to not want to keep him regardless of his results...but with his results being amazingly better than Casey currently and a completely drastic difference from anyone else who has had the 2nd seat factory ride as of late...it is hard to argue as to why not to keep him...
