[coffee] Wow I get back from three days in AR and there are 7 pages to read about a New Hill Country adventure.

Count Donald in on this one !  Mom's birthday is the Oct. 27th - Mom lives in Austin - I meet or exceed the qualifications ( I'm easy, like bacon, like dogs, like cigars, and regularly consume mass quantities of beer. ) The only thing that would interfere would be the really REALLY big assignment that would pay for motocycling in Spain next year  :o  !!

If leather pants are required y'all must have some plans I don't need to know about !!  [bacon] Please keep that sort of activity out of my senior cabin O.K. ??

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

"Um, yeah... This is Lisa Boyd with the Ducait Club outta Dallas... We'd like to reserve some cabins, please..."

"Oh yes, Ducatis - LET ME GET YOUR FILE..."

Man, what did y'all do last time?!?

Seriously, the cabins are reserved.  Here's the deal:

I've put a deposit down on #26, a "King Cabin."  And I've reserved the two cabins next door, closest to the pool - cabins #27 and #28.  I've also reserved #29 (which is across the parking lot from #26).

Here's how they break-down:
26 - King Cabin sleeps  up to 10 people:   2 bedroom cabins have cable TV, 1 full bath and kitchen supplied with kitchenware.  They feature a double bed in each bedroom and two doubles and two twins in the loft, allowing the cabin to sleep up to 10.      $265.00/night

27 - Honeymoon Cabin sleeps up to 4 people:   Studio/loft style cabins with bath, kitchenette and cable TV as above.  These cabins have an enlarged den with futon and feature French doors and large picture windows in the front peak that offer spectacular views of the countryside.    Please note that the bed in each of these is located in the loft and is accessed by a short ships ladder.     $175.00/night

28 - Camp Cabin sleeps up to 4 people (does not have it's own toilet):  With air-conditioning and heating, a double bed and a bunk bed accommodate 4.  In addition to a covered porch they each have a picnic area with a spacious table constructed of recycled material.  While these units do not have bathrooms they are located in close proximity to one of our air-conditioned and heated shower / restroom facilities.        $75.00/night

29 - Honeymoon Cabin (see above)

I've also got an option to rent out #25 (on the "other" side of 26, furthest from the pool) - it is a Get-Away Cabin.
25 - Getaway Cabin sleeps 4 - 6 people:   1 bedroom cabins have cable TV, bath with shower and kitchenette including 2 burner stove, sink, microwave, mini-fridge and supplied with kitchenware.  They have a double bed in the bedroom, twin beds in the loft and a futon in the living area.  $170.00/night

I'd like to probably drop one of these five cabins - I'm thinking the Camp Cabin with no facilities.

What say you?

I definitely need to be in the big cabin.

I really think we need the cabins on either side of 26, just because...
Also, they don't sleep as many as claimed unless you're sleeping 2-up :o

i guess i need to figure out a night and an amount of bacon wrapped shrimp kabobs, steak, and some grilled squash (patrick specific) to cook. since i dont drink a whole lot i can at least cook once for everyone. i figure about half like hot and spicy and about half prefer homemade rub. i'll figure it out just gotta think on when to prepare food and when to cook it.

Let me know if you need anything for this Chris. I can help out with ingredients.  [thumbsup]

One for cabins and this one for "other" trip tidbits but that won't last long around here.  [laugh]
