;D
I'll stop when 'tiz grows the make the beast with two backs up.

The other alternative is to lock the thing and make you all hate me a bit more. :-*

They'll be putting my wrinkly, crusty, dead ass in the ground and I'll have paid off the coroner to have put some hydraulic in me so I sit up and wig everyone out.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

I've thought about funeral antics too! [laugh] Go out with a laugh or at least scare the shit out of your friends. ;D [beer] [popcorn] My wife wouldn't approve. :P

Opinions on STI 1911 slides?  I was planning on using a caspian slide, but found the STIs for $100.

I've got a couple of SVI guns that I've had for years out of Grand Prairie, TX. I think the STI guns are out of Georgetown, TX... yes? I'll need to check. I may have it ass backwards. Best I remember both are top notch gun and parts suppliers. Seems like they both leaned towards racy 1911 guns. May be wrong in this day and time. My two SVI 1911s are more standard tact 1911s. One .40S&W and one .45acp double stacks. Had to stock up on mag parts back in the day of the Clinton hi-cap mag ban. That says how long I've had those SVI 1911s. [roll]

After we trained the Team guys today, I shot another video of my boy. This time with a Glock 19, some of the drills were from concealed carry.

WOTG Glock 19

what is he using for holsters for the 19?

Well, enjoy marksmanship meaning something while it lasts, 'cause pretty soon everybody'll hit everything all the time.

Interesting story. But I don't see one in anyones gun safe any time soon. I think it's safe to say we can all carry on missing our targets. ;D

I'm not good either. Got junior a kiddo bow/arrow set and foam target block years ago when he was a youngster. He would kick my ass in a shoot off. Yeah, it was only a kid bow but having a $1,000 compound still wouldn't have helped me. [laugh]

I remember going to the SHOT Show years ago when it was in Dallas and was blown away by all the archery stuff. And that was back in the 90s! Just walking through the achery section at Bass Pro blows me away. I'd love to get involved in the sport but what I don't need is another expensive sport/hobby. If I get the desire to fling arrows I just go in the garage and look at my MP5 Beta Mag. [laugh]

Just an update to the 9mm recommendation question I asked earlier and some field test feedback.  All in all, I've tried out 7 different 9mm (Glock 17, FNP-9, SIG P226/229, CZ 75B, Beretta 92FS, HK P30, and S&W MP9) over 2 outings.  There are probably others that I have over looked.  But I feel that I've tried a good mixture of pistols with different type/style/material.  In the end, I've decided on the CZ.

The CZ, IMO, is the best of overall for me.  I like the heavier all-steel feel to the gun.  Ergonomics is excellent.  It's highly accurate with below average recoil and muzzle lift.  Solid reputation and reliability.  It's probably the worst kept secrete in the 9mm world.  I highly recommend it.  The Sig and HK are both high on my list but the price point scared me away.

I ordered the CZ online and should be here in 7-10 business days.  I will make sure to post a few pics when I finally get my hands on it.  Thanks guys for your suggestions and feedback.   [thumbsup]

You won't be disappointed. [clap] [clap] [clap]

The B models can have gritty triggers when new, and all of them have some hammer camming.

Most people either dry fire the snot out of them or do a trigger job.

There are all kinds of parts available.

This guy makes some DIY kits that have great reviews on a forum I frequent

Enjoy it.
