I'm not high speed enough to run a shorty.  :)

Embracing the new chapter of your life?
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

No, it's heated, then each of those dimples is done one by one. ZEV does something similar. The feel is amazing. The undercut on the trigger guard keeps that callus down on your finger.

I picked up the Bersa BP9CC

I have used Bersa pistols in the past and while they have all been "good" they were not "great."  Finishes are iffy, the castings look half assed.  They started making some good guns when they came out with the Thunder Pro series, and this one is a few steps past that.

This pistol is "great."

It is physically the same size as a Kahr P9.  Almost down to the mm.  It is a little heaver than the P9 though, but by maybe 4-5oz.  (empty magazine).  THe magazine on the Bersa is beefier and holds 8+1 while the Kahr holds 7+1.

The controls on the Bersa are phenomenal.  That's right, phenomenal.  I like the slide release and trigger better than my Kahr pistols by far.  The Bersa has a funky wide trigger that pivots to disengage the trigger "lock".  Compare the glock's trigger "lock" -- same idea, it just pivots a bit so the trigger doesn't move unless your finger is pushing it.

The slide release is similar in location to the Kahr too, but it is a much better design -- the thumb pad is beveled and it makes quick release REALLY easy.  You gain about 1mm of width but it is totally worth it.

The grip angle is perfect for me, it points very naturally.  Doing simple 10/20/30m edge and face drills, I was easily hitting headshots within a few minutes.  The other feature that I love is the thumb rest.  You can see it on the frame fore of the trigger -- just a little pad for your support hand.  Very nice touch.

The only issue I had was before shooting -- when I took it down to inspect and then tried to reassemble it, the striker safety would not disengage so the ejector could pass.  I couldn't get the slide back on.

Called Eagle (the importer) and they gave me their main 'smith's number.  He's a guy in Indiana and was immensely helpful -- we figured out what the issue was (i.e. "you need to break it in some")..  I took it to the range and put about 400 rds through it -- the issue resolved.

I put another 300 rds through it and out of about 15 boxes of ammo, I had exactly one FTF -- a light primer strike on Tulammo 9mm.  That was box 13 or 14 and it's possible the striker was dirty, but I know some of the Russian stuff has hard primers.

The only things I would change are the barrel -- the models in Argentina come with polygonal rifling, whereas these come with standard cut rifling (which is better than button rifling, but ... well.. ok).

I would buy this gun again in a heartbeat -- and it's less than half the price of the Kahr.  If you like the Kahrs but balk at their price, this is your gun.  If you like the Kahrs and want a better Kahr, this is your gun.

My boy Frank had a heart attack. Just got back from the hospital. 100% blockage on right 35% on left. Heart attack 6 days ago in Arizona but he didn't go to the hospital til yesterday. (Hard headed mother make the beast with two backser) Talked to him in the ICU, he's good. I told that make the beast with two backser don't die on me, you're part of my retirement money.  :D Nurses in the ICU weren't quite sure what to make of a bunch of SF dudes smoking and joking.  :P
