ok need your input.  Mosin 7.62x54.  Already have rail done so now I need a scope.......go (no 1k scopes please)
Can we thin the gene pool?

Which Mosin?

M44-  buy a $20 BSA
Russian M39-  buy a $100 leatherwood
Finn M39 - get something decent.  You will have good accuracy to 300m with commercial ammo.  I've seen Nikon 2-9x40 scopes going for $200 on SPG

Have you checked the headspace? A lot of those later M44s are as loose as a Tijuana Outcall Girl.
