Awesome night at USPSA match. Some of these things are coming together for me.

Today the G19 persevered again, pulling me to a top 5 finish in six stages of IDPA.

I thought for sure the swinging no0shoot was gonna get me, but top was in my head saying I should hear the shot cadence being equal and it worked out well for me.

Not sure why the stage setup had headshot setup at +15 yards, but managed to clean that stage. Now to get that G34 in shape and trigger solved or it's back to the CZ.

Prepping brass, de-priming and cleaning.

I've got two weeks off and need to get some training in, gotta have rounds ready.


And managed to "fix" my G34 by swapping the Gen4 trigger bar for a Gen3, much cleaner break and no jumping when the striker fires. Looks like the G34 will be sticking around.

Yeah, my peashooter 10/22 is back in action, Bushnell shipped me a new scope to replace the dropped reticle.

Now to sight it back in, to make the silhouette match.

A man donned in black from head to toe and wearing a face mask entered a Chevron store in Heflin, Alabama, late Thursday night, pulled a gun and demanded money from the clerk, WBRC-TV reported.

“A customer was in there about to exit,” Heflin Police Chief A.J. Benefield told the station. “He pushed the customer back in there and told him, ‘Don’t leave. Stay where you’re at, or I’ll kill you guys.’”

But the unnamed customer wasn’t about to let that happen.

Turns out he had a gun of his own and started firing at the masked man.

Benefield said the customer fired two shots at the suspect who took off running for his vehicle. But once behind the wheel, the masked man floored it toward the armed customer â€" who fired off two more rounds, police said.

The suspect â€" described as black, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 160 pounds â€" was seen heading east on Interstate 20 toward Atlanta, WRBC said.

It’s unclear if the masked man was hit by the customer’s gunfire, but police were checking local hospitals, the station reported.

However, WRBC noted the suspect’s car â€" a dark-colored four-door â€" should have a couple of bullet holes in the side.

Range day, nobody there.

Mag changes and presentation. I should have stayed a bit longer but it got so damn windy the targets kept blowing over. I'm seeing the benefit, i need more magazines (16 is not enough) when having 1 round each. I mounted the targets out at 20 yards and then shot some 12" squares (steel) at 50 yards.

Getting the Gen4 trigger swapped out with Gen3 parts helped at lot on accuracy.

Good range work today. Got Frank out of the shop for some one on one time. I rarely get him on the range unless I'm helping with a class. It's always good to shoot with someone who's skill level you'll never' reach. We burned through 600+ each.

I feel this dudes pain.  It's an art to being smooth on the podium, either in front of a bunch of folks (some who already know it all) or a camera. Depending on the audience you can't 'mother make the beast with two backs' 'cock sucker' 'make the beast with two backs me' etc.

I love to teach, I can do it in my sleep. I've groomed several guys to teach over the years. Folks think it's easy, but it ain't. You gotta be on your game big time when you're teaching SF dudes. One little make the beast with two backs up and you've lost them.
