Guns have been plastic for a while though.

that's kinda cool.

I am not sure if this is when they started making Polymer guns stocks, grips, etc, but during the early phases of the Vietnam War, the M14's had wood stocks and they didn't fair too well in the jungle for obvious reasons. Therefore, the gubment contractors started making fiberglass stocks for them to alleviate this problem.

I dig that gun, I bet it is super light.

Probably really nice for a long day of clay shooting.

I have 3 13rd mags packed with 'em for my XD45... can't tell ya much though, as I haven't had to use them yet.

You've cycled some through your gun before carrying them, right?

I carry hornady critical defense in my SR9 and XDm-9.  They cycle perfectly through both guns.  Then again...I've never had a FTF with any ammunition in either gun.  I dug one out of a hillside just to see how it expanded (I know it's not realistic, but I was curious).  It was about 1.5 times larger in diameter and in a star shape...reminded me of the old ads for black talon ammo.

Grazi.

Just wanted to see what you thought of them and how they cycled through your guns.

I am going to the range tomorrow, so I'll take one god damn expensive set of cartridges to make sure they feed properly.

I've already manually cycled them several times without incident, but need to waste a few at the range in a real environment.

FWIW I think you need to run hundreds of the round before you call it reliable.

Most likely but at almost a dollar a round.......that is pricey.

I've got a pile of the old Black Talon in stock before it was classified "cop killer" by folks we know. [roll] Always been fond of Cor-Bon. But I also have never dug a round out of flesh. Hell... ball ammo seems to have served the purpose for a few years. ;D As long as it runs, you can hit with it and doesn't jam it will do by me.

Glad to be back amongst the living and "adults". ;) Just got back from the family vacation late last night. A 650 mile drive with two 13.5 year old boys bouncing off the f#@king car roof the whole trip could make anyone want to veer into the oncoming lane!! Went to the family cabin in NE New Mexico for a week and for the 100th time NO TROUT! They just won't listen to the old man, still clueless about trout fishing to this day! [bang] But, the boys (step son and buddy) wore out the pellet guns off the front porch. I'm surprised there is any foliage on the trees and bushes down range! They had a great shooting gallery of 20+ cans hanging from tree limbs and bushes across the driveway. When we cleaned it all up before we left you couldn't tell what brand of drink the cans were because they were so riddled with holes! A couple of times my wife said "Damn, are they ever going to stop shooting?" Good times, good memories for the boys. No fish but lots of chewed up cans! [thumbsup] They had a blast.

Reminds me of growing up.....

My eldest brother had a Daisy Pump Action BB/Pellet gun.

We used to sit on my parents deck and try to hit this bird feeder pole (it was maybe 1/2 - 3/4 in diameter) from about, I don't know, 40 feet away.

Of course you always knew you hit it because it made a familiar "dingggggggggggg" noise.

You used to have duck behind the guard rail on the deck to prevent being hit by the odd ricochet.

then there were the neighbors about 500 yards away who claimed we put a BB through their huge bay window.

Odd the BB's we were shooting were silver in color but yet the BB she gave the police was copper in color.

There is no way in hell a make the beast with two backsing BB can penetrate and shatter a glass window at 500yrds. I think we maybe max pumped that gun 4-8 times during our contests.
