It's the old "blame the matches for starting the forest fire" thing. :P Especially those "forest killer" matches... they need to go. [bang] [laugh]

I didn't know anything about BT's until you guys started talking about them.  I have to say, great design if your intent is to stop someone in their tracks.

Just looking at the tip you can see they're meant to basically triple in size on impact.

Not what I would want to be shot with if I had a choice.

Apparently the "petals" were very sharp, and a couple of doctors were nicked while removing them from wounds and bodies.

I think the intent of any security bullet is to stop someone in their tracks.............

Those suckers are expensive. I don't want to spend more than I have to on them to stop a scumbag.

Wiki says that's only rumored.  No actual cases reported.

Don't doctors normally use a tool to grab a bullet and not fingers?

dewd seriously?

you find yourself in a life and death situation where the only option left to you is to kill someone or die

and

you are worried about the financial end of that equation?

that and has anyone ever seen a jacket that got tore up on any hollow point that wasn't sharp and jagged?

I think that is the point

fastwin

Absolutely, it is the point. [thumbsup]

I remember the doctors and their cut digits BS back in the day of the media anti-BT blitz. Yeah, what are they doing digging around with their hands looking for sharp metal objects? Aren't there perfectly good surgical instruments for that? A doc doing that would be the last doc I'd want working on me. :P Maybe emergency battlefield treatment but in a hospital? Total BS. Then and now.

You probably overlooked the sarcasm in that post.  [thumbsup]

Yes, they have surgical instruments for probing around in soft tissue.

Also, the doc already knows where the bullet is because of x-rays taken before surgery.........that is if that facility is available to them.

I'll bet he managed to eat his whole per diem before he headed home. He's an Iowa farm boy, and not a small one. ;)

I wouldn't have had to drink so many if they put any vodka in them.

He might not have eaten too much after the crazy night in Boston with Charlief. Let's just say charlie spit a bunch of saki all over our farm boy at a sushi joint at 1 in the morning. That night is a little hazy.

That's a good point, they were shitty pours. I remember they were in little make the beast with two backsing rocks glasses and weren't cheap either  ;D
