I gotcha, but using that reasoning, then every tilt-barrel pistol since 1930 is an adaptation.

What has always intrigued me is that no one has come up with anything since then.

All pistols are either blowback fixed barrels or Browning linkless cammed tilting barrels.

Talk about being before your time.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

I think all of that is accurate.

The slide rails on the CZ are (at least to me) the most innovative part of the pistol. One of the CZ75s I have doesn't even have any import marks on it! No way I can remember where I got it. Been too long. Wish I had a dollar for every IPSC gun built up on this design. Tangfolio's bank account is fat.

You want a good reliable 9mm... look no further.
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.

I have one of the old Action Arms CZ85 models with the forged frame and no pin safety -- pre "B".  I love it, I barely use it because I love it so much -- I should buy a later model that I would be willing to slag up a bit.

All this gun talk is giving me the shakes. [laugh] I am heading to my buddy's ranch in west Texas Thursday for several days for some serious make the beast with two backs off time with the guys. [thumbsup] Cooking steaks on the grill, drinking many cold adult beverages, smoking cigars, massive bullshit sessions, did I mention lots of eating and drinking, maybe some sleep, possible feral hog shooting (if one wanders into my scope's path!) and more make the beast with two backsing off. ;D

One of the guy's college age sons will be joining us. He's got a bad ass Rem 700 in .308 he's built up and needs to be doped in. Another friend and I have ARs that need the same. Buddy's son has been emailing me about pistols. He wants an auto, has several wheel guns, but doesn't know which way to go. Brand, model, 9mm, .45acp, etc??

I am going to let him test drive a wide variety of my stuff. CZ75, Hi-Power, SIG 220 (.45), 228, 226, Beretta 92FS, HK USP, Glock 26,19,17,34 and several .45acp 1911s. Told him to bring some ammo, ear muffs and Advil. Taking plenty of ISPC cardboard and some extra Artzen steel targets and stands. My old Suburban's trailer hitch will be throwing sparks it will be so loaded down! [laugh] But it will be much lighter on the return run!! [thumbsup] [beer] [popcorn] Can't wait, weather is going to be great!! About damn time. >:(

Sounds exactly like my hunt camp in the mountains of SW VA.  Used to love that I had zero cell coverage.....had to go to the local gas station to check in at home via pay phone.  Nowadays the phones ring away in the cabin.

Yeah, you don't hear us complain much about the shitty service. [laugh] And the dog is a weird city dog. I think the wide open spaces, no paved sidewalks and potential wildlife encounters freak her out. Too bad.

As far as your friends 308 goes - I just worked up a great load in my wifes 700 VTR in 308 using BLC-2 and a Berger 155 low drag.  It shot .450" ctc @ 100 and she clipped two prairie dogs in two consecutive shots in Wyoming with it at about 550 yards.  Great load, about as flat a long range load as a 308 can shoot, with a bullet that is super accurate and actually works pretty good on meat.  She'll carry it hunting the open fields here for deer and her 35 Whelen in the woods.
This isn't a dress rehearsal for life - this is it!

I think I'm flying down to help. Sounds like a killer weekend.

I haven't seen that one yet -- but it's still cast not forged like the old ones.. :-)
