Ducati is the pretty girl that can't walk in heels without stumbling. I still love her.

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Saw this sign in bolted to the wall behind the mens room on top of Haleakala Hawaii.   Just when you think that's funny, look real close and you will see that it is also written in braile below.  Becasue we all know that every blind man needing a bathroom feels up the walls before drinking from the toilet.  [laugh]

Thought for a minute those were Sturmey-Archers.

Could not come up with a good reason to ride down with the tourists so I flew paragliders there instead.  Nice pic of the family though! [beer]

Thanks. We prefer not to do organized tours but we found one heck of a deal with a small, fully supported tour. We did see on the way down a few crashed tourists with no tour guide help.

I saw you guys when we were driving up. Paragliding is on the bucket list of things to learn to do.  Years ago I was sitting in a hot tub in Sun Valley watching them come off the mountain, thinking I've got to do that.  What is the learning curve?

Lessons are five days to a basic rating.  The learning curve to fly in mountains is quite steep and fraught with injuries.  I flew over 3600 hours in Paragliders and owned a school at one time.  Somehow I got through it injury free but most don't.  1 in 4 PG pilots see an emergency room.  1 in 1000 dies.  It is a much more hard core sport than most schools would like you to believe.

PM if you need a referral to a solid instructor, I no longer teach.
