It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

West Fork (Papoose)

That one is pretty bad, from the news reports.

On the upside, it's raining here in Denver.  [thumbsup]

It's really bad.  Over 70K acres.  Again in very difficult terrain.

So for no structures lost, though it does sound like several cabins are now threatened.

If there is any positive to be found in it, it is clearing out a lot of beetle kill.

From this morning's local front page:

Caption: Blue Ridge Hot Shot member Ronnie Gamble, a Prescott resident, holds a baby owl firefighters found while fighting the Doce fire. The owl was no longer in danger, so they put it back in the tree where it was found so its mother could find it. Gamble said the owl was very friendly and didn’t try to fly away at all.

Damn it's been eight years since I rode that road.  Sure as hell miss it.  I can close my eyes and ride the entire road turn for turn.  It is in fact the only thing about SoCal that I do miss........
