The SR-71 was designed on paper... and the math was all done on slide rules.  This is an airplane that goes mach 3 at 80,000 feet... the thermal expansion of the panels had to be calculated such that the metal expansion resulted in a perfect fit at altitude and speed, which resulted in it leaking like a sieve on the ground.

Never ceases to amaze me.

Ducati is the pretty girl that can't walk in heels without stumbling. I still love her.

That's one bad ass plain right there!  There's one on static display at one of the locations where I work sometimes.  It's amazing to sit and think that the aircraft was designed in the 50s and 60s and still out performs and and all aircraft to this day.
And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

I went to see some of the space stuff they have in Florida and when I look at the command module with its old antiquated stuff, it is just amazing that three men went to the moon in that thing.

Also it went way faster than the SR71

Then compare that to the way the 777 is built. It's all so much nicer. Designed in a computer then built. You can tell when your working on it, how everything was thought of before hand.

How many front ends, and which ones, did they splice together for that?
