I finished 9th (of 28) in my fencing tournament yesterday.

yeah they were those thin crispy onion straws or whatever they call them.  I try to sample the local food when I'm out of town, and avoid corporate food, but the choices were kind of sketchy and I didn't want to risk anything.

Nice, vid.  I am off to ride that way tomorrow morning.  Going to circle back to Santa Cruz and stay the night.  Will head for San Simeon and back to Monterrey, probably stay the night again and blast home.

My buddy just changed the route.  He does not want to ride ten hours tomorrow so we are skipping 20 and going the lower route across to the Russian river.  Still welcome to join us or we can hook up for a ride in your yard in the next couple of weeks.  I really like riding around Lake County this time of the year.  The warmer months I spend in the Sierras.

ha! it's funny how often people ask that.  




I'm 43 and been doing it for ~5 years.  Buddy of mine didn't start until he was 51, he's been doing it about a year and a half.  One of the guys at our club took like 21st in Vet World Championships in Bulgaria last year.  He's over 70.
